I don't care about Bush's Guard service one way or the other. He ran in 2000 on his record as a Texas governor, and he's running for re-election based on his performance as president. So it's never been relevant to my decision-making about George Bush.
However, if these documents pushed by Dan Rather and CBS turn out to be forgeries you can turn out the lights on this election...and on Dan Rather's career...
Both the Democrats and much of the mainstream media have staked everything on winning this election. The coming implosion is going to be spectacular to watch....
